Friends, the time has almost come for To Dust You Shall Return to be previewed. What a momentous occasion it will be! It’s been such a trip to become so entrenched in a project like this, especially being behind the camera. I’ve always been one to consider myself an actor and nothing else. Cornish has really provided me with ample opportunities to stretch myself in every way possible as an artist, which has given me the confidence to take on this monster of a project. I have not done it all by myself, however. My co-producers/editors/DPs/lovely friends, Kailynn Heath and Stella Phillips, have been helping me through this process every step of the way. I have also had an AMAZING cast that I have had the pleasure to direct, including Katlyn Judd (Ma), Alex Vowles (Pa), Andrea Lowry (Sister), Sarah Daniels (Brother/Newscaster), and Cameron Uli (Honey Island Swamp Monster). Our previews will begin April 22 and end April 24. Afterward, we will head back to the drawing board and reshoot some things, that way we can be ready for a full public release and festival circuit tour by mid to late June. My team and I are on the edge of our seats about this project, and we’re so ready to have eyes other than our own seeing this beautiful creation. When we have a Zoom link for the previews, I will make sure to post it here.

Hello to everyone, and a happiest of 2021 to you all! I feel like this year has already been jam-packed with big changes and new opportunities. I have a big announcement to make! I will officially be moving from Seattle to Los Angeles in early June. This is something that I have been dreaming of LA since I can remember. The LA actor lifestyle has always been the ultimate goal for me, even if it isn’t the most glamorous thing ever. I am so SO excited to get out and do what I love outside of the confines of school. My mind and creativity is ready to run wild in the city of dreams!

Just this evening, I applied to my first graduate degree! I have applied to receive an MFA Professional Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Receiving a post-graduate degree has always something that I have aimed for, and I know that it will be a massive leg up for my career. This year, I am only applying to this one school. After a lot of consideration, I think it is best that I allow myself time outside of the world of academia before I dive back in, but I love to keep my options open. Here’s to new beginnings and continued education!

As of today, my senior thesis has officially gone into the pre-production process! I am so excited to be directing a one-act play that I wrote last semester, To Dust You Shall Return, as a film. Executing this project during COVID has proven to be quite difficult, but my team and I are prepared for whatever comes our way. I have so much confidence in this project, and that you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Be on the lookout for To Dust You Shall Return in mid-April!
